When Your In The Environment, You Become The Environment

One of my best friends in the whole world and my son’s Godfather, Sean Stephenson (www.TimeToStand.com), has a powerful saying:

“When You’re In The Environment, You Become The Environment!”

And I believe that’s true both on a mental-emotional level as well as a physical level.

Everything You See, Hear, Feel, And Touch

Did you know that the people you spend time with regularly, the places you spend time in consistently, and even the things you surround yourself with – ALL have an impact on your level of health, fitness, and vitality…AND your ability to maintain it?

Most people never consider this.

Something I heard from Tony Robbins years ago was, “you must love your friends and family – and choose your peers!

But what is a “peer” exactly?

A peer, or peer group, is a person, or group of people, whose opinion matters to you and who you tend to be influenced by.

The challenge is that mpst people tend to be unconscious when it comes to choosing their peers…

In fact, most people tend to not choose at all and instead, just end up being unconsciously influenced by the people they spend the most time with by default.

Rather than consciously choosing to spend time with people that are playing a “bigger game” in life than they are, most people stay closer to those they can feel are at the same, or even at a lower, level of “skill and experience” than they are.

This enables them to meet basic human needs like feeling a sense of “certainty” and or feeling “significant”.

The challenge is, if you want to master playing any game, you don’t want to play with someone who plays the same or worse than you do – otherwise there is no challenge to grow and you will never get any better!

If you are consistently spending time with people who have “unhealthy” habits…

  • Who only drink coffee or soda and never water…
  • Who overeat or never eat at regular times…
  • Who constantly eat junk or fast food…
  • Who smoke or drink excessively…
  • Who never exercise…
  • Who complain all the time or are emotionally unstable…
  • And who are “sick and tired”…

…then how can you expect to achieve unstoppable health, fitness, and vitality?

You may think you have strong enough will-power, but most people don’t – you may be able to resist for a while but eventually ways of thinking, speaking, and behaving start to conform to the consistency of what you see, hear, and feel on a regular basis.

Therefore it’s very important for you to choose your peers consciously and wisely!

This doesn’t mean that you should harshly judge others or eliminate them from your life…it simply means…

Love and accept people as they are and consciously choose with who and where you spend the majority of your time and who and what you allow to influence you.

One of the best things you can do for your health and fitness is to start spending time with healthy people.

Did you know that most people live or work in a toxic environment?

Your body is only as healthy as your cells and your cells are negatively affected by any physical rupture or impact (such as from injury) and by any electrical or chemical disturbances.

Unlike your ancestors, you are constantly surrounded by electromagnetic frequencies from modern electronics; chemical toxins that you inhale through your lungs or absorb through your skin from treated water, cleaning supplies, personal care products; and even “sick” buildings that contain fungus and mold.

This doesn’t mean that you need to panic and lock yourself away in fear of contaminating yourself!

Rather, it simply means that you get to be personally responsible (meaning “at cause in the matter rather than effect”) for choosing…

  • What environments you consistently spend time in…
  • What types of cleaning and personal care products you consistently use…
  • The quality of the water you drink AND bath in (“most people don’t realize that you absorb up to 100 times more toxins from the water you bath in than you do from the water you drink”)…
  • And the quality of air you consistently breathe.

Remember, it is what you do and experience consistently that makes the difference, not what you do and experience every once in a while…

So don’t stress, have fun, and focus on taking small steps of progress.

In an age where “Green Living” is all the rage, there are many non-toxic “environmentally friendly” (meaning your external and internal environment) cleaning and personal care products to choose from.

There are several great water purification options ranging from “point of use systems” (meaning, “at the tap) to “point of entry systems” (meaning, “whole house/building” – *Best Choice*)…and there are also some very effective personal options for use “on the road”, “at the office”, etc.

You can find a very effective range of options for air purification for “personal use”, “in the car”, and “whole house/building” designed with state of the art technology designed to literally clean and energize your environment.

In summary, “When You’re In The Environment, You Become The Environment!”, and on many different levels, so make sure you are in an environment of people, places, and things that supports who you are committed to being, doing, and experiencing in life.
